Perserverance

The weather is getting warmer and there is a certain sentiment in the air of thanks or gratefulness, something quite unique to the Canadian mindset at springtime. We are about perseverance; persevering through the cold winter months and being so thankful in the end for the slightest warm breeze or mud on the ground because that means the thaw is on. In countries where it is warm all the time, this expression of gratitude for the changing of the seasons just isn't as prevalent. Who wants to have cake everyday, all the time and for every meal? There is a lot to be said for waiting, something that encapsulates the Canadian spirit I love so well.
