I love my neighbourhood. It certainly has changed a lot in the 23 years that I have lived here though. Every week there is a new business cropping up along the main drag and it really is a colourful, vibrant place to live. Perhaps the only problem I have with living here is the seemingly constant obsession with appearances. Don't get me wrong: I love how cultivated most people's gardens are and I already complimented how colourful everything is above...it's just that there's a problem when I feel that I have to get dressed up just to go to pilates in the morning. I love to look nice; I love fashion. But this is my neighbourhood too and I don't like being made to feel like every minute of my day has to be a fashion show.

I guess this comes with every blooming part of the city. The whole gentrification, although Ronces didn't really need it. But when the yuppies roll in town, you have to wear the latest designs when hopping into your local Starbucks er local library?
